IEEE Power & Energy Society's IEEE Electrification Magazine Receives 2014 APEX Award for Publication Excellence

PISCATAWAY, N.J. --(Business Wire)--

IEEE (News - Alert), the world's largest professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity, today announced that IEEE Electrification Magazine, published by the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES), received an APEX award for publication excellence.

In its 26th year, the APEX Awards for Publication Excellence is an annual competition for corporate and nonprofit publishers, editors, writers and designers who create print, Web, electronic and social media. The APEX 2014 awards were based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence.

In November 2013, IEEE PES unveiled its IEEE Electrification Magazine, a quarterly print and digital publication dedicated to disseminating information on all matters related to microgrids onboard electric vehicles, ships, trains, planes and off-grid applications. In addition, the magazine is co-sponsored by the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IEEE IAS) and the IEEE Power Electronics Society (IEEE PELS).
