3rd Kazakhstani communications satellite to be launched from Baikonur cosmodrome on April 28 [AKIpress News Agency (Kyrgyz Republic)]

(AKIpress News Agency (Kyrgyz Republic) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The 3rd Kazakhstani communications satellite KazSat-3 will be launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome on April 28, the press service of Kazkosmos reported.

On March 24, KazSat-3 satellite was delivered to the Baikonur cosmodrome. Currently, the satellite is prepared for the launch.

The launch is planned to be carried out from the platform No. 81 at 10:25 am, Astana time.

The project on construction of the KazSat-3 is one of the stages of creation of the satellite communication system of Kazakhstan. KazSat-3 is built for meeting the needs of the market of Kazakhstan in TV broadcasting, communication, internet and data transfer.

As a result of the announced international contest, the agreement on building and launch of the satellite was concluded with JSC Academician Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems - the Russian company specializing in building of spacecraft.
