Sewell Direct Releases the Gigaglider USB 3.0 to Ethernet Adapter

Orem, UT, Apr 17, 2013 ( via COMTEX) -- These days it's nearly impossible to work or go to school without the internet. People rely heavily on the internet to get things done. That means they need a fast, reliable internet connection. The problem is, while wireless is definitely convenient, it is also insecure and can be unreliable. For those that travel for their work, there's also the added nuisance of having to pay for internet in many hotels, if the hotel even offers Wi-Fi. Luckily the solution has been around for a long time: Ethernet cable. While cable is not nearly as convenient as wireless internet, it makes up for it by being faster, more reliable, and more secure.

Sewell's newly released Gigaglider USB to Ethernet adapter allows users to have an Ethernet connection, even if they don't have an Ethernet port on their device. By utilizing USB 3.0, the Gigaglider allows for download speeds of up to 1 Gbps. The fastest Wi-Fi routers only allow for speeds of around 300 Mbps, while others only allow for 100 Mbps. That's ten times slower than a wired connection. And while this adapter was designed for USB 3.0, it is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1, so it can be used with any device that has a USB port. But, older USB connections won't be able to have the 1 Gbps speeds that USB 3.0 can offer.

To make the Gigaglider more convenient for travelers, it was designed to be small and compact enough to fit easily into a pocket or computer bag. And after a one-time driver installation, using the Gigaglider is as simple as connecting the wires. That way, travelers will never be stuck without a fast, inexpensive internet connection in almost any hotel. The adapter consists of a little box that's smaller than an average cell phone with a USB cable attached to one end and an Ethernet port on the other end.

Especially considering the price, the Gigaglider offers a fast, reliable, secure, and easy to use solution for getting online.
