Syndicatable Social Video Commerce Leader Cinsay Appoints Downing as New CIO

Austin, TX, Dec 10, 2012 ( via COMTEX) -- Cinsay a leader in social video commerce and merchant aggregation through, has named Todd Downing as Chief Information Officer.

Previously, Downing served as Director of Product Management for Cinsay. Before joining the company, he was responsible for Global Online Capabilities for Dell in Austin TX. He has also served in key technology positions at Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Belo Interactive and Neiman Marcus.

"Cinsay is developing better, more advanced technology solutions for our eCommerce merchants and all of our strategic appointments will provide better support for the development teams working hard to make those advancements happen", said Christian Briggs, co-founder and CEO. Downing will work with Briggs in helping to continue aligning the IT departments and the company's business strategies for an efficient and effective product deployment of innovation for 2013. Specifically, Downing will be responsible for directing the teams coding existing product features, developing new products and implementing third party video, transactional and merchant APIs to Cinsay's evolving social video commerce platform worldwide.

During the last few months, the company has added thousands of new merchants who are using the technology to sell, take donations and generate leads for their organizations which range in size from SoHo's to SMBs to enterprise level brands. New releases for 2013 will provide these customers with more merchant service options, additional analytical and statistical reporting among several other new features and products on the technology roadmap. In 2013 Cinsay will be launching in Russia, Latin America and other international markets as it continues to build on its successful US launch.
